Obama Executive Order to Force "Diversity" in Neighborhoods

President Obama is using his executive orders unconstitutionally again, as usual.

According to The Hill, President Barack Hussein Obama is pushing new Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations that will withhold block grants to communities if they don’t build enough "affordable housing in wealthy neighborhoods." The executive order, known as the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Act,” was issued by the president last year and will be used to promote racial quotas in white suburban neighborhoods. It will also force thousands of communities to house the nation’s population of new immigrants.

“HUD is working with communities across the country to fulfill the promise of equal opportunity for all,” a spokesperson for the federal agency said, according to The Hill report. “The proposed policy seeks to break down barriers to access to opportunity in communities supported by HUD funds.”

HUD says it is obligated to take action under the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prohibited direct and intentional housing discrimination, such as a real estate agents not showing a home in a wealthy neighborhood to a black family or a bank not providing a loan only based on someone’s race.

Civil rights advocates are praising the plan, saying that it is needed to break through decades-old barriers that keep poor and minority families trapped in poverty-stricken neighborhoods.

Conservatives like Rep. Paul Gosar, from Arizona, argued that the administration “shouldn’t be holding hostage grant money aimed at community improvement based on its unrealistic utopian ideas of what every community should resemble.”

The most diverse place in the world.

This administration is not technically forcing communities to further the Left's progressive agenda, but is putting them in a
situation where many communities cannot refuse. Many communities rely on these grants and do not want to see them disappear, so they will fall in line. This coercion by Obama is disgusting and goes against every aspect of liberty. Communities and neighborhoods are just areas of people living next to each other. The Left organizes "communities" and "the greater good" and promotes socialism instead of promoting individualism.

Here in Brooklyn, my city is the most diverse place in the world. And that diversity is broken up into different neighborhoods and communities. Bensenhurst, where I live, is a predominantly Italian neighborhood. Boro-Park is Jewish, Sheepshead Bay is Russian, and Bed-Stuy is black. All of these neighborhoods formed naturally. To help low-income communities like Crown Heights or East New York, you do not build public housing in wealthier neighborhoods like Bay Ridge. Forcing the mix of communities does not help. You target and focus on one neighborhood and fix the problem. The problem isn't race, it's the liberal policies.
